Moncrief Acute Care Clinic

As a partner to the Integrated Health Medical Home (IHMH), the Acute Care Clinic (ACC) provides evidence-based health care for Tricare Beneficiaries with acute illnesses and injuries. By providing acute care, the ACC bridges the appointment gap; supporting the IHMH allowing them to focus on providing routine and chronic care for beneficiaries and ensuring continuity of care.

Services Offered

• Care for Acute injuries (recent injuries less than 3 weeks in duration)
• Care for Acute illnesses (illnesses less than 3 weeks in duration)
• COVID-19 PCR testing for Active Duty Service Members (ADSM) on OCONUS orders (PCS, TDY, etc.) for travel
• Walk-in Contraceptive Clinic Tuesdays 1000-1200 (Active Duty Only)

How It Works

The Acute Care Clinic is a walk-in, first-come, first-serve clinic available for Tricare Beneficiaries to get same day care for acute illnesses and injuries. Check-in for services is located in the IHMH waiting room with the last patient check-in at 1900 hours. As a walk-in clinic, the wait times may vary and is influenced by daily staff and clinic usage by patrons.

Additional Information

Those patients with chronic conditions, taking long-term medications, and requiring routine care to include routine imaging, laboratory studies, or routine referrals should contact their Primary Care Managers via the MHS Genesis Patient Portal and request assistance. ADSM requiring updating or completion of e-Profiles (DA Form 3349) should also contact their PCM via MHS Genesis.

The Moncrief Acute Care Center does not offer Urgent or Emergency Care.

Urgent Care

All Active Duty Service Members enrolled in Tricare Prime require a referral to seek care at a local Urgent Care.

Dependents, Retirees, and Active Duty Service Members enrolled in Tricare Remote do not require a referral to get care from a Tricare Approved local Urgent Care. A copay may apply.

Emergency Care (Call 911)

No referral is required to seek care from an Emergency Department.
